Recognizing Your Great Broodmares!

The CBHI is very excited to announce our new incentive program to give your mares the credit they deserve.

For a small annual fee of $60.00/mare ($10.00 for administration) your mare's offspring by CBHI stallions from that year can be eligible to run for extra incentive money. Payments are not due until Jan 30 so you know that you have a live healthy foal on the ground.

Eligible Offspring

- Nomination fees of $110.00 ($10.00 administration) due Jan 30 of their yearling year.
- Second Nomination fee of $315.00 ($15.00 administration) due Jan 30 of their four year old year.
Payout for eligible offspring will be a year end high point for points accumulated at CBHI events throughout their five year old year.

CBHI Mare Program Guidelines

This program is to acknowledge and promote our superior mare power in Canada as we all know they are a very large portion of the breeding equation. 

Eligibility:

• Any mare of any age
• Offspring resulting in the year the mare is paid into the CBHI mare program are eligible to be nominated into the program as per the payment schedule. 

• Offspring must be sired by a CBHI stallion that is nominated at time of breeding.

Payment Schedule for Mare Nominations: 

• Mare must be paid in by Jan 30 after foaling to have that offspring eligible
• Yearly payment of $60.00 ($10.00 administration fee held back) a late payment of $100.00 can be paid if the deadline is missed and paid by after Jan 30 of the following year the foal is born.  
• All funds will be held in a separate guaranteed account.

Payment Schedule for Offspring Nominations:

• Offspring resulting from a mare nominated into the CBHI mare program will have to submit:

• Nomination fee of $110.00 ($10.00 administration fee held back) by Jan 30  of their yearling year and a
• Nomination fee of $315.00 ($15.00 administration fee held back) by Jan 30 of their four year old year.
• All funds will be held in a separate guaranteed account.

Payment Schedule and Late Fees:

Awards and Prize Money for Mares and Offspring:

Point system will determine the placings for mare/offspring based on the offspring’s cumulative results during their five year old futurity year at CBHI sanctioned events. 

• Points at each CBHI event will be given to offspring for each round and the average to the top 10 in each as 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10. Knocked barrels do not get points.
• Year end offspring winners will be awarded/paid based on the number of entries.
• Offspring owners will be eligible for 75% of the offspring nomination purse and mare owners will be eligible for 25%

• Mares of year end top placing offspring will be recipients of awards/prize money based on the number of offspring paid in the program. Awards will be funded by the mare nomination fees and sponsorship.
