BCBRA FINALS (Kamloops, BC) |
| The BCBRA held their finals in Kamloops , B.C. on the Sept. long weekend. Thanks you Candance Cunningham for once again looking after this CBHI co-sanctioned event. With 267 entries and three goes this 4D event was the place to be for barrel racing at it’s best. The CBHI had $2000.00 added to the open and $1000.00 to the youth with the following entries taking home some of the added money for riding a CBHI nominated horse!!! |

WATERHOLE RODEO GROUNDS RESULTS & PAYOUT (Fairview, AB) |
There were 36 entries in the Waterhole Open division which featured offspring by Timeline, Woodland Doc, JDS Rebel Rouser and Whos Bad. The CBHI paid out $133.33 to Dawnette Reardon riding A Martini High (sired by Whos Bad of JC Quarter Horses and $200.00 to Bobbie Shipper riding Go Runaway Winner sired by Timeline (Rock N Rock Acres). The Double Dollar in Grande Prairie provided some great barrel racing with an exciting run-off for prizes and cash. Congratulations Tyler, to you and to all your support personnel.
Saturday Open Results: Melissa harding riding He's A Dainty Chic sired by Fast Moon Chic earned $250. for her 1D run. Kim Kerr on Gasaholic sired by Gasahol made $250. In the 2D, Tracy Isaak on DB Docs Diamond sired by newly nominated Dana Bars Diamond earned $150. and Lisa Reid riding Punk's Easy Playboy sired by Millionaire Playboy earned $100.
Sunday Double Dollar Jackpot Results: In the first go, Melissa Harding on Shockum With Honor sired by Bear Creek Shockum earned $100. and Bobbie Schipper on Go Runaway Winner sired by Timeline earned $50.
In the final go, Melissa Harding riding He's A Dainty Chic sired by Fast Moon Chic earned $150. in the 1D. Lindsay Gittens riding Doc Tighy sired by Woodland Doc earned $150. in the 2D. Derby 1st Go
Cranna Roberts had a clean sweep with two CBHI horses - Preppy Moon and Leaguer Moon - both sired by Raisin The Moon won a total of $500.
Derby 2nd Go
Maxine McKenna rode both Angelita Crime and Rockin Down Dash, both sired by Crimewave, to the pay window for $350.. Lynette Brodaway piloted Caught Me Streakin sired by newly nominated Caught Me Lookin to win $150.

Congratulations to Monica Wilson and her crew for putting on a great weekend of barrel racing. Despite the "spring" weather, spirits were up, the ground was great and the barrel racing was tough! Great job!
Futurity First Go: no CBHI horses in this go
Futurity Second Go: Traci Dawson riding Seven Turbo Jets sired by Western Dash, earned a cool $500. for riding and placing on a CBHI nominated horse.
Three of the top twelve Futurity horses were CBHI nominated offspring. Snoopy Black Juan, sired by Frenchmans Buck, Wave To Me Darlin, sired by Crimewave, and Cash I Express, sired by Speed I Express.
Derby First Go: Sierra Stoney riding her horse, Dashin Six Chicks, sired by Fast Moon Chic, earned $200. Trina Swerbus on her good mare, Marthas Ebony Moon, by the same sire, earned $150. Cranna Roberts on Preppy Moon, sired by Raisin The Moon, earned $100. Lynette Brodaway riding Caught Me Streakin, sired by Caught Me Lookin, earned $50.
